How to get in

Everything sells on Dice — buy the early tier (saves about $10) and use Dice's waiting list for sold-out shows; it works. The door is friendly with no dress-code drama. For summer Nursery daytimes, buy the moment they're announced.

The honest take

Arguably the best-sounding room in NYC and genuinely adventurous booking, but it's the most polished of the underground venues — drinks are pricey, the crowd can skew fashion/media, and the Sound Room is small enough that floor space disappears fast. Gowanus is a dead zone for late-night transit.
