Limited reservations for up to 8 via SevenRooms (the old Tock page is dead); walk-ins welcome first-come — put your name down and they text you. No standing room; 2-hour max visit.
The honest take
Still one of the most reliable world-class cocktail rooms in NYC nearly 20 years in. The trade-offs: the doorstep wait, the strict 2-hour clock, and $20+ drinks in a dim room now firmly on the tourist circuit. (NYC original; LA/Denver/DC branches are separate.)
