Nyla — the NY Nightlife AI Concierge
Nyla is the gold chat bubble in the bottom-right corner of every page on this site. She's our nightlife concierge: ask her a question about going out in New York and she answers instantly, using only the verified data this site publishes — never guesses, never made-up prices.
What Nyla can answer
- Tonight: what's on right now, pulled from our tonight feed, which updates daily.
- Venue facts: covers, dress codes, age policies, hours, and how-to-get-in steps for all 30 venues in our venue facts library — each one carries a "last verified" date.
- Rooftops: which rooftops charge a cover, which are free, and which turn into clubs after dark — the same data behind our Manhattan rooftop comparison.
- Free & cheap nights: where the cover is $0 and where presale tickets beat the door.
- Budget math: rough numbers for a night out — covers, drinks, and getting home — alongside our budget planner.
- Weekend picks: a fast starting point for Friday and Saturday, linked to the weekend hub.
How to use her
Click the gold bubble at the bottom right of any page. A chat panel opens with suggested questions — tap one, or type your own ("what's the cover at Nebula?", "free rooftops tonight", "is House of Yes 21+?"). Nyla replies in a second or two. If she doesn't know something, she says so and points you to the closest page that can help — she is built to never invent an answer.
Where her answers come from
Nyla runs entirely on this site's own published data: the venue facts file behind our 30 venue pages (every entry dated and re-verified on a schedule described in our editorial policy) and the daily tonight feed. She does not browse the web, and she doesn't collect or store anything you type beyond your current session.
What she won't do
Nyla won't book tables, take payments, or promise you'll get past a door — no one can promise that in New York. For door strategy, read how club doors actually work. For a full plan, use the night planner.
Why we built her
Most nightlife questions have short factual answers buried in long pages. Nyla is the shortcut: one question, one sourced answer, with a link to the full page when you want depth. She's also honest about uncertainty — where a venue only has "reported" (not officially published) policies, she tells you that, the same way our venue pages do.
